It took weeks for me to get through the first half of the book, and an afternoon to get through the last half. This is not the book for you If you're bothered by inconsistent details: the evidence markers are white on black, then they're black on white; his wife's eyes are the color of faded jeans, then he's losing himself in her big brown eyes. The last half is a fun read, but for me Grisham has this beat by miles! It took weeks for me to get through the first half of the book, and an afternoon to get through the last half. Many times the writing in this book made me think of friends who argue with themselves about inconsequential things when they're telling me a story. (Did it happen last Tuesday? No, it must have been Wednesday. Wait, it was Tuesday because it was the same day as my doctor's appointment, but my doctor's appointment was Monday.) I would have liked this story much better if it had been edited to eliminate the non-productive rambling. The last 100 pages seemed better - or maybe I was just excited that I was finally approaching the finish line! Many times the writing in this book made me think of friends who argue with themselves about inconsequential things when they're telling me a story. While I enjoyed it, the book became a little tedious. I wish I had jotted down the dates and a little information about what happened to keep it straight when the book got to the "next" life. I liked the idea that premonitions come from prior incarnations of your life - I wonder if I can leave a message for future me to steer away from my ex-husband....While I enjoyed it, the book became a little tedious. I really enjoyed this book and think it should be required reading for caregivers and families dealing with left neglect. My mother (in her mid-80's) had a massive stroke which left her with dementia and left neglect. The author does a great job of describing exactly how the left neglect affects behavior. It was interesting to discover how many of my mother's problems are due to the left neglect and not the dementia!I really enjoyed this book and think it should be required reading for caregivers and families dealing with left neglect. A great followup to the first book. Long, but I still hated to see it end.

What did I miss? Since so many people are raving, I must have missed something! Glad to have it behind me.

This seemed like three short stories with the pages shuffled. It wasn't bad, but it was challenging to remember where we were in time and who was connected to each case.
