This is a phenomenal book! The patients at Laguna Hospital were truly cared for with dignity and it didn't matter how long they needed to stay there. Once automation came in the needed medical services were pushed aside for more efficiency…

What lovely and tender stories Dr S writes of her patients and of the facility she calls God's Hotel. I wish I could have worked along side her during what she refers to as those "efficiently inefficient days" that preceded the data…

This could be a book that you skip because you think, "I don't want to read about that". If you do, then you are missing a great book.
