I loved this movie and I liked that it was in Black and White, it made it much better to watch in my opinion, the story was excellent, but, I was wishing he had won the Million dollars in the end, but, still, it brought the family closer,…
I rarely, make that never, watch a black and white film. Wouldn't have watched this if I'd been paying attention when selecting it. But, WOW! So glad I stuck it out past the first 10 minutes when I ceased to be aware of the no color…

Beautifully rendered in soft shades of black and white with a spare musical score and widescreen panoramas of fields and farms, Alexander Payne’s picaresque journey into the heart of American Gothic country is essentially a three-hander…

I loved this movie. So nice to see Bruce Dern again and he is excellent in this low key but hypnotizing film. Alexander Payne is one of my favourite directors. Highly recommended.

A superb movie all the way around mostly thanks to the way the characters were portrayed. Filmed in black and white because I can only assume it was not about the scenery, but about what goes on around it. I found it to be more than one…

Second time I watched this movie. I think I enjoyed it more this time. Let's get past it was nominated for the academy award and for good reason. It just reminded me so much of my relatives in Minnesota. Fargo did a great job but this…

Deep going and yet charming at the same time. Black & White film which suited the feel of the prairies it was after resonating with. Of family relations, friendship, aging and aging in relationships. Unique in its class. European…

Could Bruce Dern have been any better?..no..in fact after seeing this film, in my opinion, he should have won the oscar not only based on his performance but also because how many more roles will this treasured actor receive as good as…

Super movie! Superb acting added to the believability of the characters and situations. No gloss, 'beautiful people' or action in this one. Would definitely recommend it.

Not to bad of a movie, it has a fairly good story line, but personally I could have done without some of the profanity in the movie and it still would have been good. When it is all said and done it leaves the viewer with one of those feel…

Seattle's own Bob Nelson, of Almost Live fame, wrote the screenplay. Bruce Dern is brilliant as the crotchety, possibly on the edge of dementia, elderly father. Will Forte of SNL fame does a nice job as playing Dern's younger son.
