I enjoyed reading this, although some of it went over my head. The author is on a crusade against high frequency trading in the stock market, but many years later it still is common practice and not everyone agrees that it is unethical.

This is a griping read, and I could not put it down despite not understanding some of the technical details about how the Wall Street Scamming was working. Amazing how much white collar crime and client gouging is going on in the complex…

Another fun book from Michael Lewis. While "The Big Short" showed the complexity of the subprime mortgage loan trading, "Flash Boys" shows the intentional complexity of electronic trading. Lewis does a good job explaining some of the more…

Another great book from Michael Lewis, but unlike his usual books which focus on the scandals that happen on Wall Street, this book looks at the very legal but “unfair” practices done by high frequency traders on Wall Street. It tells the…

Plot. Michael Lewis manages to make the stock market understandable and engaging, while exposing what is really going on on Wall Street.

I enjoy his writing style. This one shows you how deeply rooted is the corruption of Wall Street. HFT does not bring liquity to the market, it brings money to their pockets.

An interesting read. Would love to see more details on how IEX works, but unfortunately they were not enough in the book.

It's an eye-opener. Rock on IEX from a small investor in the stock market.

Very interesting and informative. I was surprised that I enjoyed reading about the ins and outs of the stock market. A nice change for me.

If you are interested in finance/trading stocks this book will definitely get your attention. Michael Lewis describes in detail the process behind the scenes when you push the buy/sell order button on your brokerage account. It will…

Fascinating story about Canadian Brad Katsuyama and crew`s adventure to solve a Wall Street puzzle. How they mapped, solved and shared that information. Practical examples of individual complex areas made the story quick and easy to…

My original comments and quotes disappeared but recall that Lewis hooked me from the very beginning, with the mystery of laying down pipes that seemed to go nowhere before letting on the rest of the story. Though full of insider…

A fascinating, feel-good story about the US stock market...in language easily understood. I couldn't put it down for the day it took me to read it.

The very heart of capitalism -- the stock market -- is rigged. That's the ultimate gist of the book. Michael Lewis tells the story of Brad Kasuyama (a Canadian) who figures out how deeply the market is flawed and how badly investors are…

If you think the stock market is fair for ordinary Joe and Jane Blows like you and me, you'll change your mind after reading this book. It's shocking the SEC does nothing to stop this chicanery.

I really like Micheal Lewis. This is another great story about dirty dealings in the financial sector and a Canadian hero who tries to stop it.

If you are an investor then this is a must read. You are most likely being screwed out of your investment dollars by the 'big banks' and others. Although Brad Katsuyama, the man who figured out the illegal trading practises, originally…

This non-fiction book reads like a thriller. Michael Lewis explains how High frequency traders on Wall Street exploit the speeds of networks to act as predators preying on small and average investors. You may be like me, a very small…

Good read... told so a layman can understand the machinations of dark pools, high frequency traders, and flash crashes. Glad I read the book before Hollywood "Argo-izes" the Canadians out of the recounting.

Well told story which explained the mysteries of recent Wall Street anomalies as in flash crashes, dark pools, prop trades, HF traders, liquidity vs activity, those 100 share orders ... etc. No wonder SEC and NY Attorney General announced…

Easy to read, but not well written, not informative, not interesting, and not entertaining; no tables, drawings, photos, index or references.
