Wonderful, humorous, imaginative and charming thriller with an all star lineup. Fiennes is amazing as the oddball legendary hotel concierge as in other diverse roles as Dicken's The Invisible Woman and Shakespeare's…
Whimsical, colourful and at times downright silly this film is funny and expertly designed. Excellent cinematography, eccentric characters, and above all a complete and utter love for their place of work The Grand Budapest hotel.

I thoroughly enjoyed this movie, which I wouldn't have watched if I had known is was by Wes Anderson, having recently seen Asteroid City (pointless with great sets, and a Golliwog space creature?) Ralph Fiennes was delightful.

Thanks to the patrons for sort of pointing me towards this film in the Wes Anderson filmography. With the restrained humor and highly intricate sets, I think Mr. Anderson finally found a worthy muse with this cast and production. I…

A zany comedy in the vein of the best of the Marx Brothers. It can also be seen as a warning about the dangers of authoritarianism government and the reverence to the power of the idle and vain rich. Anderson at the end of the film says…

This was a very stylized and very zany and silly film, and often vulgar to boot. I suppose some could really like it, but I was left uninterested, often bored, and ultimately disappointed.

A film which celebrates the farces of Molière, tips its hat to “The Mouse That Roared” and “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, and revels in movie-making techniques in general.

"The Grand Budapest Hotel" is haute cuisine's pastry: so much esthetic, perfection and beauty about one peculiar passed time. I have seen this masterpieces with a pleasure; I enjoyed this irreverent, witty movie full of odd, hilarious and…
If I had never seen a film before, perhaps this Wes Anderson movie might be more puzzling.
I find Anderson’s voice as a filmmaker refreshing. From the sublime to the ridiculous, and a shootout thrown in, who else has this range?…

I checked it out and when I got it home girlfriend said she saw it and it was an okay movie but not one she would watch again. From I got the feeling it is a chick type flick so I took it back to the library.

A masterpiece of cinematography. Very heavy camp and at first I thought the story was unappealing; but I stuck with it and the story got better and better. I thought the whole movie was going to take place in the Budapest Hotel but was…

I felt like I hadn't focused 100% on details because I found it hard to understand the point of the movie, discern who different characters were supposed to be,what they were talking about or what so many of them had to do with the…

Grandiose and intimate, Wes Anderson’s characters keep their cool as their lives evolve from environments dripping in opulence to gray-scale communist cell blocks and back. Funny, beautiful, stylish and sentimental, I can watch this film…
