Anchorman

Ron and Veronica's romance falls apart as the duo anchors a weekend broadcast at a New York-based network in 1980. Ron is fired for being the worst anchor anyone has ever seen and so he leaves Veronica rather than live in her shadow. So he re-creates himself at a CNN-type network in the eighties and accidentally invents the soul-sucking brand of non-news that now rules cable as he tries to win back Veronica's love.

Funny but dated. Will Ferrell does his best, but Ron Burgundy was a one trick pony in my opinion. Steve Carell steals some scenes with his over the top antics. Kristen Wiig trys hard to keep up but seems to just be following Carell's lead. Paul Rudd does some good to great acting as usual and the rest of the cast rounds out well. Also some great, unexpected and interesting cameos in the film. Good movie, but not great. Worth it for a night at home with nothing else to do, but not a party or date night movie.

This Movie is Funny. It can be seen even if you did not see the First one "Anchorman". " Steve Carell" as "Brick" gets more Lines in this one and also gets a little more action(good for Him,in my opinion!).

Not one of those people who frequently watches Hollywood comedy blockbusters, I viewed this one despite a coworker warning me not to. I enjoyed it. Will Ferrell is a cut above the average clown. The first half of the film is particularly good; it captures the late 70s vibe when Hippie sensibilities coexisted briefly with a renascent consumerism: shag cuts and Angel Flight suits. There are a number of laugh out loud moments, like the face off between between Jack Lime and Ron Burgundy where Lime challenges Burgundy to be a man and defecate while standing up. The second half tails off considerably with the blindness storyline. But all in all well worth the two-hour viewing time.

Worst movie I have seen in recent memory. I could only watch 15 minutes.

I used to like Will Ferrell's movies, but after watching this awful racist movie I will no longer watch any of his future movies. Shame on you Will Ferrell.

These days anything you can think so can be turned into a movie. This movie was horrible, even though, I love Will Ferrel. I felt like a bunch of morons yelling at the camera.

Mostly not funny, and way too long.

Upon reading some reviews, I had already lowered my expectation for this movie. I still had to discontinue after thirty minutes. Movie writers don't even have to be gifted. All they have to do is to re-do their work a few times. They would be surprised themselves as to how much improvement has been made.

I'm on the same page as some others -- some funny bits, but take it or leave it. I enjoyed the slo-mo cruise control mishap sequence with the '70s conversion van.
