Description

Celebrate Black History Month with a listening party & screen printing. We'll listen to famous music inspired by the civil rights movement and modern songs inspired by Black Lives Matter. Come and screen print your own poster or tote, with a special design inspired by the art of Jean Michael Basquiat. Jean-Michael Basquiat was an American artist who combined painting, drawing, and poetry. His work used social commentary in his paintings to criticize power structures and systems of racism and has inspired many modern hip hop artists, including Jay-Z.
