For this 3-day Maker Camp, we'll discuss elements of Design Thinking that can be used for 3D Printing & Laser Cutting. Students will learn how to make a light-up photo frame.
Daily Activities will include:
Day 1 (Feb. 19) - Students will use the design website Tinkercad to design miniature photo frames.
Day 2 (Feb. 20) - Students will download Tinkercad files and use the Glowforge laser cutter (supervised by an instructor) to cut out photo frames.
Day 3 (Feb. 21) - Students will make a small electric circuit using copper tape, battery, & LEDs to illuminate their photo frame.
Students must attend all three days of camp. The minimum grade level to attend is at least 4th grade. Registration is required.
