Description

Are you looking for a chance to slow down and let you body, mind, and spirit be centered and grounded? Join me for this meditation workshop series where you will have the opportunity to relax into stillness as we practice various meditation techniques. In this series, we will also discuss the the personal benefits of meditation and the relationship between meditation and mindfulness.

Join us for this three-part virtual meditation series with Janet Stickmon on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, May 2, 4, and 6th, 11:00 am - 12:30 pm. Please plan to attend all three sessions.

Janet Stickmon is a professor of Humanities at Napa Valley College and teaches Africana Studies and Filipina(o) American Heritage. Stickmon is the author of To Black Parents Visiting Earth: A Guide to Raising Black Children in the 21st Century, Crushing Soft Rubies: A Memoir, and Midnight Peaches, Two O'clock Patience. Her work has also been published in Positively Filipino, Mutha Magazine, and the Huffington Post.
