This course provides a foundational look at the mechanics of Artificial Intelligence and the rising role of conversational chatbots in daily life. Beyond technical functionality, we will critically examine the essential guardrails of AI safety and data privacy, ensuring students can navigate the risks of personal data exposure. We will also tackle the ethical dilemmas inherent in AI, including algorithmic bias, transparency in automated decision-making, and the long-term societal impact of delegating human tasks to machines.

Please note: If you are planning on creating an account for any of the tools we will be using in the class, you will need to have access to your email, so please ensure you have your email passwords ready for verification.
