This was a looong book! I feel like the pacing during the time that Fitz was pretending to be a shepherd could have gone faster and I missed his wolf. But that’s only a minor complaint. Without spoiling the ending, it is bittersweet, but…

This was a great end to the trilogy! Bravo! It was a little long winded and repetitive at times, but I didn’t want to skip any pages.

I found this book the most engaging of the books in the trilogy. It starts off a little slow as Fitz heals and gets his memories back but then maintains a good pace as he goes on his quest to kill King Regal, find Molly, and find Verity…

While, yes, this book was a bit repetitive in parts and the main character could be a little too full of angst, it was still an absolute page turner in my opinion. The fact that such a large part of the book is the journey makes sense,…

Like the second entry in the Farseer Trilogy, this entry felt overlong and could have benefited from further editing. Some parts toward the middle felt repetitive and rather insignificant for how few pages remained and how many plot…

If Hobb had an editor for this book you could knock me over with a feather. This tome is 50% too long. It's incredibly repetitive, prolonged by a deeply depressed main character whose internal moping dialogue NEVER LETS UP. Perhaps…

An extremely slow book but it all ends up in a wonderful payoff. Sorely in need of an editor who was willing to tell the Author "No we do not need to read another 150 pages of Fitz's travels on the road."

This book was a bit slower than the first two of the series, but... still an incredibly good read. I read these books on the library recommendation and I have never looked back. Obsessed, possessed, unable to put down. I have read and…

Longer than it needs to be. I really liked Assassin's Apprentice, but the the concluding book did not move along nearly as quickly. Enjoyable, but not the best.

Not quite as enjoyable as the previous two books in the series, but it provides a setting for the following two trilogies. Recommended nonetheless.
