I really wanted to like this book after really enjoying Crazy Rich Asians but I just couldn't get into this book like the first one. I felt there were too many characters to follow, a few really absurd scenes and not enough depth for my…

Follows "Crazy Rich Asians". As had seen movie adaptation it is easy to imagine the movie actors when reading. Light diversion from a pre-pandemic, happier, time.

Having read all three of the trilogy, I have to agree with another poster, this book was the best of the three. Rachel and Nick are back. Rachel now knows who her father is, and meets him due to Nick's mothers intervention. Rachel's…

A continuation of the first novel's head-exploding spectacles. Of mega rich people living in super palaces, raising spoiled spendthrift children. Again there are some balances of sanity amid the money mad maelstrom.

I liked book 1 better, but this was still a pretty good book. I wish they'd included the family tree at the beginning of this one as well as I still needed that cheat. The synopsis wasn't quite enough for me.

Such a good book. The Kitty Pong storyline is so hilarious! Astrid’s storyline is entertaining. Rachel’s storyline is crazy. Can’t wait to read the third book.

Thoroughly enjoyed this second book in the trilogy. It is clear that the author is inspired by some of shenanigans reported in the press of wealthy and powerfully connected Chinese such as Jho Low and Bo Xilai.

A fast, fun read. Not quite as strong as the first in the trilogy--I found myself skimming past some parts to get back to the plot--but still thoroughly enjoyed the book.
