A positive thing. I don't think you have to smoke or drink coffee to enjoy this film.
The fact that there are such big name movie actors helps, but would be OK even if they were not here. Good experience.

This is a mixed bag of shorts by Jim Jarmusch- some are better than others- but overall it's an interesting collection.

One of the most Disappointing -Unwatchable films I’ve ever seen this year. Really a dumb movie. "I fast forwarded all the way." It would be a waste of money to buy.

Definitely a unique piece of work. I enjoyed some of these vignettes, others - pointless, awkward nonsense. Roberto Benigni and Steven Wright were terrific in the 1986 short "Strange To Meet You". Iggy Pop and Tom Waits - great. I've got a crush on Cate Blanchett, so there's double the happiness for me. Steve Buscemi and the great Bill Murray's talents weren't taken advantage of... they got stuck with lousy roles. The black & white set the mood for all with the diner muzak in the background of some; awkward pauses abound. It's almost as if you're eavesdropping from a nearby booth. An original, quirky montage, with Jarmusch's style written all over it.

If this movie only had the scene between Iggy Pop and Tom Waits this movie would be worth watching, and if you can't understand why that makes this movie great then you need to re-evaluate your world view; yet, this movie has Bill Murray and Wu Tang, that is almost enough. Yet, this movie has Meg and Jack White from the White Stripes, what? It takes balls as a producer to make a piece of art like this. You as a human being need to watch this movie to understand what has happened in the last 30 years in music, acting, and art.

Different, series of "skits" by different actors, some funny, some offbeat, seems mainly improved throughout... Do not watch if you are tired or raging anti-tobacco-industry type...

Iggy Pop: "Hey, you know, you could call me Jim. I mean, you know, my friends call me Jim, or Jimmy, or Iggy, or Jiggy... Call me, call me Iggy!" Tom Waits: "Ok, alright, whichever way you're comfortable, I'll go either way, Jim or Iggy..." Iggy: "Iggy! You, you call me Iggy!" Tom: "Look, I'm sorry I'm late Jim. Boy, whew, four car pile-up... whoof... I delivered a baby this mornin' about 9 o'clock. I was savin' lives... I was out there on the highway... I was, y'know - there's nothin' worse than roadside surgery... Y'know, you don't have your own tools... and it's just, it's murder... I performed a tracheotomy with a ballpoint pen... and I'm... whoof... I've been busy..."
