A boy's favorite toy feels threatened by the arrival of a new birthday present, a high-tech spaceman model advertised on TV. Clever, incredible-looking animated film, produced entirely on computer. A grownup story masquerading as a kid's film, this story of friendship, fickleness, and the need for acceptance features a colorful cast of characters led by Woody and his rival, Buzz Lightyear.

As a six yer old in 1995, I simply could not be bothered with seeing this 'kid's movie'. As I've grown older, I gained appreciation for it, especially for the hidden jokes and the chemistry between Tom Hanks and Tim Allen. Gets kind of creepy in the third segment.

I remember going with my parents to see this first venture into film making from Pixar and Disney, and falling in love with the characters and the amazing animation. Great family film and the beginning of something magical.

I think that this was the first Pixar film, if so they couldn't have done this movie any better. There are still shorts being made today about this film and its sequels today. Its original, cute and funny 20/10 Stars for this work of art!

This movie is a 90’s classic that chronicles the real-life stories of toys whenever the child isn’t around. Andy is a lovable child who adores his cowboy doll, Woody, however, after getting the new Buzz Lightyear action figure he seems to lose interest in Woody. Woody must overlook this though, since Andy is now moving and Woody and Buzz must work together to ensure that they and their fellow toy friends all make it to Andy’s new house and away from the evil neighborhood bully, Sid. This movie causes people of all ages to reconnect with their inner child and never forget about the imaginary life of their toys. Although slightly underwhelming at times, it is a classic movie earning it 4/5 stars. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to relive their childhood or experience an imaginative tale.

A good hearted toy cowboy named Woody is the favourite toy of little boy Andy. However, after his parents purchase him a Buzz Lightyear doll, Woody is forced to compete for the position of Andy’s favourite toy. To make matters worse, Buzz actually believes that he is a real astronaut on a mission to return to his home planet. After Andy and his family move, the toys must find their way back in the hands of Andy and far away from their evil neighbour Sid Phillips. This movie was released in 1995 as a fantasy adventure film directed by John Lasseter. This film has had long lasting effects on adults today for it will forever be known as a children’s movie classic.

There is some nostalgia attached to this series as it is an old classic. Andy is a kid who loves his toys. When he is with them, he plays with them, but when he is not, the toys live their own lives. Woody is the main toy, and he’s quite aware of the fact that he is Andy’s favourite. However, much to his dismay, a new toy joins Andy’s collection: Buzz Lightyear. Woody is jealous that Buzz took his spot as the favourite toy and attempts to dispose of him. However, things go awry and they both get lost. Andy is moving and the two must find their way back before Andy leaves.

Director and script writer John Lasseter is amazing. He comes up with characters like Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and Mr. Potato Head. Having the voice of Mr. Potato head be Don Rickles is a personal favorite of mine. "Toy Story" has fascinated millions of kids and adults since it came out. It will go down in cartoon history as one of the Best Five Star Cartoon Features of All Time. Congratulations Pixar Studios on a job well done!
