A tough one to watch. The history channel tells it like it is says it like it is - so rare in reporting these topics - just look at Canada. If we compare this story today we see little change - just evolution. Racism is misdirected at a Mexican wall but not necessary if the usa would put down the cocaine spoon. Ironic that Black Lives Matter forms under a half-black us president. The punch in the gut in this doc, for me is the Mobile Alabama story. Plus ca change plus c'est la meme chose.

This is a documentary originally broadcast on the History Channel in 1998.
The klan has been among the most powerful fraternal organizations in America, boasting up to 4 million members, and has survived for more than a century by wrapping its doctrine of hate and intolerance around the ideals of Christianity and patriotism.
The film reveals the dark heart of this controversial organization, tracing the history of the klan from its birth in 1866 to the present.
It is a gripping, inspirational and profoundly thought-provoking documentary.
