Texas outfit Blue October have been gaining notoriety since the late 1990s with their brand of eclectic alt rock. 2006's FOILED builds on the band's past accomplishments, and represents one of their most focused and ambitious efforts. ""Hate Me,"" the album's first single, shows that Blue October are no strangers to catchy, radio-ready songcraft, a quality that helps endear the group to many.

I accidentally came across this artist in a radio show and since then I'm hooked on to them.

This is not typical run of the mill group. Lead singer and song writer Justin is one of the living legend in my opinion. Justin's lyrics are so moving and really cut deep.

Watch youtube videos to see for yourself.

"Blue October" is an amazing band and this, their fourth album - really is terrific!
I love this CD - I mean: I REALLY love it - it's THAT GOOD!
So it rates a "GREAT" - 4 1/2 stars! And worth every one of them!
And we have our friend "zorg" above to thank for that because he had the good grace to review it initially back on Feb 28th of this year - and post it for all of us to read.
So I took it out on zorg's recommendation - and voila!
I got to hear a really unusual grouping of music - each track uniquely individual, and collectively: an amazing compilation of musical sounds and vocals that will leave its mark with you on your very first listening.
But - if you really want to appreciate the gifted compositions and beautiful arrangements - you've got to hear this CD several times... over and over again... until the music becomes a part of your musical sensory perceptions... Trust me... you won't regret it!
It's got soft ballads (Let It Go / Congratulations / 18th Floor Balcony) that space out some heavy-duty rock (What If We Could?).. that in turn breaks up the wordy numbers (Hate Me / Overweight) filled with some verbal pathogens guaranteed to infect your memory in a good way - only to return to synthesized beats like in "X-Amount of Words" my favourite song amongst many... then back to uplifting and moving lyric-filled numbers that run the gamut of human emotions.
It's got so many musical styles - I promise - it will please every mood you might be in - so check it out.
You won't be disappointed!
