And, for this particular "art tour" we, once again, return to the good, old Louvre in Paris, France. And, this time around, the focus of our excursion is on sculpture.

From ancient Egypt, to the medieval, to the Renaissance, and to the modern-day - The Louvre has the most extensive collection of sculptures in the entire world. (Natch)

This 2-disc set is a 7-part series with a compete running time of 3.5 hours. And, you can be sure - Every single minute is a continuously fascinating journey through the history of sculpture.

I would recommend this to people who have a general interest in art, history, or France, and also those who are more knowledgeable in art history as each discussion is well done and it provides a first-rate overview of the artwork and its background in only 20 minutes. However, the discussions of the sculpture are somewhat academic, almost like a lecture in a university course. Some can be a bit monotone but each sculpture's story is really quite captivating and intriguing which makes this collection worthwhile.
