A raging crowd of protesters are waiting for President George W. Bush's procession. As the President gives a patriotic speech inside a hotel, the demonstrators' fury increases to the breaking point. The tension mounts until the horrible instant where the President is assassinated. Following the assassination, the FBI hunts for the assassin. All the suspects are interviewed and released except one, the Syrian man who is convicted and put on death row. There is circumstantial evidence against him, but is he really guilty of the crime? Or does his being Middle Eastern provide a convenient excuse to label the death of the President as an Act of Terror?

Hmm. This was an interesting documentary but confusing as I was unprepared for the blend of fact and fiction.

One of the CD blurbs says approximately, "captures the zeitgeist of the time". I'd guess that's pretty true.

The actors were fantastic and aided my confusion by being so true to the roles they were playing.

Finally, I like the use of "a" as in "a president" and not "the president".
I think it gives a better perspective on history. We use the article "the" to sugget the present as all-important but, in the grander perspective of history, every president, king and pope is just "a president, etc." Bush wasn't the first prez or the last and it's nicely accurate of the title to remind us of that.

If you don't like documentaries to begin with, you won't like this movie. Since Bush has left office it may have lost some of it's potency but the meaning of this movie still should resonate. The point of this movie isn't the assassination itself but the issues revolving around it.

It's a good premise with a great format. Unfortunately, some of the actors play too much to the camera, lessening the illusion. Others almost make you forget this isn't real with the help of the edited footage.

Creative, but boring.
