The beautiful princess Giselle is banished from the animated land of Andalasia by the evil queen. She finds herself in the gritty streets of the real, modern-day Manhattan. Shocked by this strange new environment that does not operate on a "happily ever after" basis, Giselle find herself adrift in a chaotic world that is badly in need of enchantment. Giselle begins to fall in love with the cynical, no-nonsense divorce lawyer who has come to her aid. Little does he realize that this joyful, wide-eyed innocent is about to enchant him.

Self-satire by Disney....it was really different but very good.

If you aren't fond of the Disney classics like "Cinderella" and "Sleeping Beauty" then you probably won't like Enchanted. However, if you DO love the above movies, you're in for a treat! It was much better than I anticipated, and most of that was due to Patrick Dempsey's wonderful performance! He is perfect as a handsome divorce lawyer who finds himself face to face with this beautiful Princess. He doesn't believe in romance or fairy tales so it's up to her to show him what life can really be like. It was very entertaining, and at times, hilarious!

Love this movie! So light and fun great songs and funny story line. Giselle is such a funny princess when she comes out into the "real" world. Prince Edward is the weirdest prince and so funny! Great family movie! 5 stars

The very essence of "Disney Magic." Amy Adams is extraordinary--totally immersed herself in the character of Giselle. Excellent supporting cast, especially the adorable Rachel Covey. My only criticism is the hokey dragon/overwrought monologue near the end; way out of character with the rest of the film.

A light and fun Disney princess story that pokes fun at the conventions of its genre, while at the same time embracing them wholeheartedly. I loved the way that the movie pulled characters from the animated world at the beginning, and manifested them in modern-day-New-York, complete with "real-life" versions of the costumes that look great in drawings, but seem a bit different against the backdrop of skyscrapers and asphalt. Just a really pleasingly-fluffy story with plenty of happily-ever-afters for all.

The movie is good except the cockroach scene.

Enchanted is a brilliant movie, poking fun at all things Disney, Disney Princess, and fairy tales in general. Given a modern setting, and with gorgeous animation, this is a movie everyone can enjoy, assuming you have a soul.

Enchanted was a great and hilarious movie that is great for families anytime. This movie is about a princess set in cartoon time that travels her way back into New York City living with real humans. She needs to become used to reality and so she bumps into this man who ends up taking her into his house in order to support her. He believes that she is not the brightest tool in the shed and she's completely naïve to the world around her. Eventually he discovers that she is from a cartoonland and she got to New York City by the means of magic. I enjoyed this movie because it was funny and it was serious at the same time! It was cool to see how the princess got back to her own village but it was also nerve-wracking at times because you didn't know what was going to happen next. I would rate this movie a 4/5.
