A fastmoving and captivating narrative which keeps the reader riveted until the very end.
Ms Alvtegen scrutinizes the psychological rouages of her main character who has to face the demons of her past in order to solve a series of crimes she is been accused of. An unlikely friendship and complicity develop along the novel between her and a brilliant, sensitive teen , adding to the complex web of this incredibly suspensful novel

Excellent book - a mild Lizbeth Salander character.

I rarely rate a book 4 stars and I rarely read a book in one sitting

This book hit both rarities.

Loner Sybilla is in the wrong place at the wrong time and becomes the primary suspect in a serial killing spree. Her backstory is told in alternate chapters. Well done.

If you liked Steig Larrson’s The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, I highly recommend picking up this mystery thriller set in Sweden. Missing features a homeless woman wrongly accused of murder who must survive by her wits. This is a highly engrossing mystery and character study, as Sybilla struggles to come to terms with her abusive past and find the actual killer.
