China Bayles is fit to spit when her husband's troubled ex-wife, Sally, shows up at her herb shop, claiming to be broke with nowhere else to turn. When she invites Sally to stay, China starts receiving menacing calls from an "ex" of Sally's, who seems to have a connection to the murder of her parents nearly a decade ago.

It's always a pleasure to catch up with China and her family and friends.

I love the entire China Bayles series! I have read just about everyone of them and haven't hit a clunker yet. I sure hope this series continues for a long time!

This China Bayles novel is the perfect cozy mystery. The characters are so well drawn that you feel that they are people that you know. China has confidence and insecurity in just the right combination to be a great protagonist. The crime is interesting, though the resolution is a bit simple.

I really enjoyed this book. I had a hard time putting it down. My opinion is, this is the best book in the China Bayles series yet.
