This the first of the Buddy Files that I have read and I am very impressed. The story is told from the dog's point of view and is so believable. Buddy (King) is a devoted companion and intelligent. Boys and girls will love following along as Buddy solves the case of the missing boy.

Although I'm 67 years old, I noticed several books in this series on a display shelf in the children's area, and decided to give them a try. What a pleasant surprise! I have read 4 of the books already, and have more on hold. They are well written, humorous, as well as suspenseful. What I especially like is that they depict the dog's personality so well. When I explained to one of my friends how the dog was so spontaneous, she said it's because dogs live in the moment. Everything is exciting now! Then the next thing that occurs is exciting now! What a great bunch of books. You'll love them.
