I'm not exactly proud of this, but I am a teen movie aficionado and saw many during the revival of '95-'00, but somehow missed this one. Set at one of those parties that only seem to happen @ movies, this is an above average teen movie that doesn't quite overcome its cliches or inherent silliness. Familiar figures include the beauty, the cool girl, the nerd (played by Charlie Korsmo from "Dick Tracy"), the jerk jock, the everydude and, a more recent edition, the white hip-hop dude. Mostly this is amusing for all the familiar faces, including Sabrina the Teenage Witch, that dude from "Scrubs" and Jason Segel, in his first role. 80s music fans expecting a soundtrack packed by indie/college rock hits will be disappointed by the late 90s awfulness (Eve 6! Smashmouth! Creed!). They finally place the Replacements during the closing credits. Also see "Clueless," "Bring it On," "She's All That," "Down to You," "Election" and "Jawbreaker."

I wouldn't really recommend this movie but it was interesting to see Peter Facinelli in a very different role from his Twilight character of Dr. Carlisle Cullen.
