At first - I thought that this 1952 Western about the legend of the Chuck-A-Luck Ranch (for outlaws) was going along pretty darn good until actress, Marlene Dietrich made her grand entrance.

And, then, of course, Dietrich had to go and ruin it all by, literally, dominating the remainder of the story.

And, then - Wouldn't you know it!? - (To add insult to injury) - Dietrich had to go and sing a song in her usual irritating, tone-deaf, off-key way. (Sheesh!!)

And, that, inevitably, killed my whole interest in "Rancho Notorious" in no time flat.

VERY GOOD 1952 Fritz Lang western - with flavor of film noir...

A wonderful, dark, violent western. Grim with a tinge of romance!

Fritz Lang directed. Marlene Dietrich starring. George Reeves (Superman) one of the supporting cast. Not bad, but a Hollywood ending.
