This was the final book in the Koontz Frankenstein series, and it wraps up quite well. The ending " confrontation" was not as dramatic as I expected given the build up over the course of the series, other than that, the book is full of Koontz humor, and dialogue. I wish there was more of Jocko in this book, he was great!!

In short: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/DeusExMachina ...

The main character has turned into a walking case of it. "I know everything that will happen, and can teleport to where-ever I want to be." There is never the slightest sense the heroes could fail to win, as such new characters are made up who never connect with the others, it feels like they are there to allow some sense of danger in the events (spoiler alert) which there isn't.
