After the first six seasons, I wondered why Entourage didn't last longer than 8 seasons, it was such a great show - Season 7 answered those questions, - the shortest season with only 10 episodes, and the storylines just screamed 'jump the shark' Vinny's lackadaisical attitude to having something that many struggling actors in Hollywood would give their right arm for, was annoying throughout the series, but it reached a crescendo this season as Vinny becomes an addict, then there is Turtle and his bizarre breaking bad with booze riff and Drama becoming an animated monkey, and it is Entourage's most cringe worthy season - Eric, Ari and the usual plethora of star cameos save the season from total disaster, but I can see now why the next season would be its last.

Short episodes, I'm always still looking for the plot when it suddenly ends. Our hero goes down a dark road in this season. Oh, and it fails the Bechdel test: two women in it? yes! and do we see them, y'know, talk to each other? um, no, I don't think we do.

Life is good for Vince and the rest as season seven begins. Except for Drama, their work also seems to be on track and the future looks bright. However, various problems start to mount up and eventually begin to take their toll. There are plenty of famous guest stars in season seven and of course there are laughs as well as tears.
