This was surprisingly funny! I enjoyed the mini-plot of the reporter. The actual facts attached to characters were tied to enough plot I managed to be amused, not bored by an info dump.
I recommend reading at least one other book in the series first. This is a book meant to fit mid-series. It would've been rather boring if it was my initial discovery.

Meh. A so-so book, kinda nice for reference, but mostly just made me wish the next book in the series was available. For die-hard fans only, but better than a stick in the eye.
