Joan Hickson is the best Miss Marple. She appeared as Miss Kidder in a 1961 Miss Marple movie starring Margaret Rutherford. I particularly enjoyed "At Bertram's Hotel" because instead of the contentious relationship she usually has with Inspector Slack, in this episode she is dealing with a London detective who appreciates her. When the police are about to move in and his younger partner objects to his superior officer going in alone, he says, "I won't be alone; I'll have Miss Marple with me." All these episodes are well worth watching.
