A pleasant read and a surprise ending to be figured out. Fluke has done it again and I am thoroughly satisfied that Hannah Swenson will be back! This series is a quick read to take you away for a little while to Lake Eden... I found it most enjoyable as are all of the Fluke books I have read in this series. So if you just need some down time and you like a mystery that doesn't drag on and on forever, you may be well pleased with Joanne Fluke's Swenson series.

I have enjoyed many of the books in this series, but I can't say that about this one. The ongoing relationship between Hannah and her 2 fellows is getting old. They talk to and about each other like they are teenagers. It's just silly. The mystery becomes complicated quite early and refers to issues in other books. I don't usually give up on a book but I stopped reading this one half way through. I am not sure if I will continue with this series.

In this latest installment of the Hannah Swensen murder mysteries, Hannah becomes a "person of interest." When Dr. Bev comes back into town and begins to stir up trouble, lethal cupcakes are to blame for the latest dead body. Hannah, please make up our mind, once and for all, between Mike and Norman, won't you?

Hannah Swensen is back, and you know what that means: murder and mayhem in sleepy Lake Eden, Minnesota!

The proprietor of The Cookie Jar faces a unique dilemma in this outing. She not only discovers the dead body of Doctor Bev (yay!), but she is also the prime suspect in the case. What’s a cookie baker to do?

Well, as usual, Hannah enlists the help of family and friends to prove her innocence and solve the mystery of the deceased dentist. And she also ties up some loose ends from Cinnamon Roll Murder.

As much as I love these light mysteries, I think this series should be laid to rest. It is time to retire from sleuthing, Hannah.
