Not as immediate as DBT's best albums, but an album that rewards persistent listening.
I've noticed that here and elsewhere, this DBT album is not being received as positively as some of their others. While it may not be amongst their best, I think it is a stellar album - every song here works for me with the standouts being "When He's Gone", "Pauline Hawkins", and "The Part of Him". BTW, I am a big Patterson Hood fan. His voice was the first thing that attracted me to this group.
