On the night of an astronomical anomaly, eight friends at a dinner party experience a troubling chain of reality bending events. Part cerebral sci-fi and part relationship drama, a tightly focused, intimately shot film that quickly ratchets up with tension and mystery.

Coherence is a cross between a dinner party and twilight zone.
It does take a bit of time to get going but don't all dinner parties.
My wife got turned off by the slow beginning and the posiblility of it being scary.
I'm glad I stuck with it.
For some it may be too creepy in parts.
It is low budget but it works very well for the story.
Great Film.

A fresh approach to the set of Sci-Fi films that try to bend your mind. Well-written, and nice surprises continue throughout the movie. Most notably, it is the sci-fi that is made in such a way as to not require all kinds of effects. Lacking that though, maybe some of the "touchy feely" relationship stuff that is a part of the plot instead could wear on some. It has relationships in tension due to both the immediate situation and the tension that is a group of people with history stuck together for hours. I found that part for the most part well written and tolerable as well, though there were a few "stop whining!" moments.

Overall, a very well constructed, cozy, thinking man's movie.

This is cerebral, but even with that qualification, I didn't buy it the ending and it's not without its flaws. It reminded me of Shane Carruth's 2004 film "Primer."

I found this movie enjoyable on numerous levels with the most notable it being a non-typical Hollywood movie.

An intensely creepy psychological thriller. Loved it.

Exceptionally unsettling... this film is a melting pot of sci-fi, suspense, horror, psychological thriller. It all adds up to total sensory overload... in the best possible way. Definitely warrants multiple viewings; guaranteed, if after you first see this film you watch it again, you WILL catch things you didn't notice initially. This film is everything a thriller/psychological horror film should be; the film employs the polar opposite of jump scares to put you on edge. The very concept sucks you in, and you are invested... this is one of a kind.

If you're into big explosions and mindless action, stay away; this is a quirky sci-film with a minuscule budget, but an ingenious plot line that will keep you wondering what is really going on.

This is a 2013 drama directed by James Ward Byrkit in his directorial debut.
The script seems foolish and the acting appears contrived and unnatural.
The whole storyline turns out ridiculous and unbelievable.
It is like a home movie that a high-school kid would make.
It is one of the worst movies I've ever seen so far.
