When I first heard about this movie, I didn't know it was based on the tv series from the 60s. I
thought the movie was funny and entertaining. The dynamic between the two main male actors was unexpectedly good. Just from their appearance, I wondered how their chemistry was going to be, but it was pretty funny. I feel like this is an underrated spy movie that didn't get enough hype when it got released. There's talks of a sequel that could happen, and I hope it does happen, and Guy Richie will direct it again.

This could have been better, I think Cavill does well in the role and works off his partner
capably, hate to think they tacked on the Vikander role just to appeal to a broader
audience; pseudo resistance fighter or not, why drag them into a mission just dropped in
your laps?
The overall story gives the impression of a series that was never meant to be, at least in this
day and age. Bond has been reeducated, Hunt has too, Solo will go down swinging and take
the franchise with him; though Richie has shown better in the past, maybe that was the
thought, he's England's answer to Tarantino without the pecadilo in every film...
Next stop for you, again; LOCK, STOCK AND TWO SMOKING BARRELLS, SNATCH, and to get
an unadulterated fix of the "golden boy", TRUE ROMANCE, Tarantino's love letter to himself...

The best stand alone spy movie EVER.

Beautiful actors nice to look at. Totally love all the Early 60s MOD fashions. Not much in script that is fresh and engaging but got through to the end. Meh!

I don’t remember much about the original TV series, but this was fun and campy and seems to be a set-up for a franchise. But I have one question: how is this not a James Bond movie?!

This is a pretty funny and entertaining movie about two security agents working together in a humorous way. I really enjoyed watching it.

For those fanboys who hated the girl in the team at the end, there was Girl from U.N.C.L.E starring Stephanie Powers that lasted only one season. Why not?
Hugh Grant was unexpectedly good.
Film just right blend of serious & campy.

Entertaining, cute, light humor and twist. More than one spies compete to save the world.

A poor remake of the TV classic. Pretty boys (and girl) who are wooden actors working with a terrible script. Full of cliches and predictable scenes.
If you can get over that, it might be a somewhat enjoyable waste of your time.

Lighthearted, entertaining Cold War spy romp with a good dose of humor and some good car chases. I loved the conflict and interplay between the main characters. A fun reboot of an old hit TV series done well enough that viewers unfamiliar with the original (like me) don't feel lost.

(The two agents debate about what to do with the mad scientist whom they trapped in his own electric chair for interrogation. They turn around when they smell something burning and notice the brightness of the fire in the room they left to deliberate in. After realizing the person the need alive has burned in a fire in the other room)

Kuryakin: "He fixed the glitch."
Solo: "Damn, I left my jacket in that room."

(They watch the fire burn)

Uncle Rudi: Man has only two masters in this world: and their names are pain and fear.

Victoria: Napoleon, I appreciate your message, and now I hope you'll appreciate mine. Any blood relation of yours still living will be dead within the year. They will die slowly and painfully. And you know from personal experience this is an area in which we excel.

-He'd been enjoying the American dream, He had a great job working for the ... Pleasant house in the suburbs ... a new Cadillac and a fat little dog called "Schnitzel."

Kuryakin: I was briefed on your criminal career. Your balls are on the end of a very long leash, held by a very short man.
Solo: I wonder if it was your father's shame that gave you such drive... Or was it your mother's reputation? I understand that she was extremely popular amongst your father's friends...
