Stupidly funny. Violently quirky. High energy love story between sociopaths.

Not the most balanced of movies, teetering between weird twisted comedy and enraged pathos.
There's no steady perspective to view these characters. Their behaviour is out of focus.

In the vein of “Grosse Pointe Blank” and similarly good!

What a fun and delight film, in a violent and insane way. This is a romantic comedy, about a girl who isn't quirky, she's insane (although they present her as quirky). She keeps falling for losers who cheat on her and, going through her most recent heartbreak, she meets a guy who seems perfect for her. And he is. He's the world's most talented assassin for hire, but he's perfect for her. And she doesn't know it. Nor do we the audience, until the film unfolds the whole story. If you are looking for a serious romance set in an everyday believable world and unfolds in an everyday believable way - this isn't for you. If you really dislike movies with violence in them - this isn't for you. If you want your leading lady to be mature and alluring, and your leading man to be tall, dark, handsome and sophisticated, this isn't that movie. If you want a quirky, fun, romantic comedy that answers the question: how does a hitman fall in love? You might really like this movie.

This is one of my new favorite movies. I loved the absurdness of it and Sam Rockwell and Anna Kendrick had great chemistry. I also really loved that Anna Kendrick's character got to fight her own battles and not just be the damsel in distress.

"Mr. Right" is a romance that asks if there is a perfect someone out there for everyone, even if that someone happens to be a serial killer. Anna Kendrick and Sam Rockwell make an adorable, if unbalanced, couple, whose relationship is complicated when he assassinates someone on one of their first dates. While the film never quite lives up to its cast's potential, it's still a good pick for those who like their romance tempered with equal parts eccentricity and violence.

It was a pretty good movie Sam Rockwell and Anna Kendrick had good chemistry in the movie. This movie had a lot of action, a lot of fight scenes, and lot of excitement in the movie. The only thing which concerns me was that IMDB says that the movie was Rated-R. However the movie didn't look Rated-R at all it looked a lot more 14+ than it did Rated-R despite the violence and coarse language that was in it.

This started out quirky and cute about a hyper girl who sleeps with every guy on the first date and then gets dumped or cheated on by the second. Then she comes across a guy in a drugstore who seems like Mr. Right. She takes him home and learns he's a hitman, only she thinks he's kidding. He's not. There were too many completely unbelievable moments that were repeated ad nauseum until they were just plain cheesy. A third of the way through we started doing other things because we were bored and it only got worse. Nice if you have absolutely nothing to do, but there are so many better films out there than this. Love Sam Rockwell and Anna Kendrick, but not in this film.

Martha McKay: 'cause humans just wanna put a name on something to make it feel safe, but really, what is a dinosaur other than a dragon?

LiztheLibrarian Jan 25, 2018

Martha McKay: How did you do that?
Mr. Right: Some people waste time with the fighting. I just skip to the winning.
