A silly story - as it is intended.
It is set in Washington DC and has a lot of city specific information, which is why it lost a star from me.

Excellent recommendation for reluctant readers. Full of engaging pictures, nice and shortish, and a funny premise: Inspector Flytrap is pushed around on a skateboard by a Goat, solving stupid crimes! Did you know Tom Angleberger is married to Cece Bell (author of El Deafo?) Love power author romantic partnerships like that!

My children (ages 5 and 7) were delighted by the story, the drawings and especially Nina the goat -- probably because that's also my daughter's name.

Excellent silliness!

Great fun for readers who are ready to make the jump from readers to chapter books. This title will be enjoyed most by readers who like stories on the silly side!
