I enjoyed series 1, series 2, well not very much. The second episode.... terrible. The last disk, took it out.... boring!!!!

I will try series 3 but not with much hope for improvement. To be continued......

"Blah", "Blah", "Blah". Not enough excitement for viewing past the first episode of Series 2. Cancel my subscription.

Greatly enjoyed this police mystery set in New Zealand. Deals with some of the political and cultural issues in New Zealand. The characters have become friends and always have each other's backs.

Even better than the first series. Interesting stories and good chemistry between all three of the main characters. Murder mystery with a lighter side. Enjoyable.

Shepherd and Sims have gained more respect for each other and a fine working relationship. There's also more humor to keep things lively, but the quirky "down-home" characters and odd murders in Brokenwood, New Zealand continue unabated. The lead characters and setting down under makes this series better than Midsummer Murders, in my opinion.

I really like this series. It's much more real to life than detective mysteries tend to be portrayed in North America. There are quirky characters that you get to know over the lifetime of the series. And trust me, you will never figure out the
who-dun-it, and will have to wait until the end to find out the who and the why. I have to watch the first season to figure out the whose who and what they're doing in Brokenwood. All in all, highly recommended.

This series does have English subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing in case someone needs it.
