In a windswept British seaside town, single mom Alice Lake finds a man sitting on the beach outside her house. He has no name, no jacket, and no idea how he got there. Against her better judgment, she invites him inside. Meanwhile, in a suburb of London, twenty-one-year-old Lily Monrose has only been married for three weeks. When her new husband fails to come home from work one night she is left stranded in a new country where she knows no one. Then the police tell her that her husband never existed. Twenty-three years earlier, Gray and Kirsty are teenagers on a summer holiday with their parents. Their annual trip to the quaint seaside town is passing by uneventfully, until an enigmatic young man starts paying extra attention to Kirsty. Something about him makes Gray uncomfortable, and it's not just that he's playing the role of protective older brother. -- Page 2 of cover.

I really enjoyed I Found You. The use of flashbacks was effective and kept me guessing as to the identify of "who dunnit." Very fast-paced with some great characterisation.

A British mystery surrounding a very tragic event and how that event ripples in time and the people it affects. A good read, a bit creepy, and very sad.

Edge of your seat psychological thriller.

Alice Lake is unconventional, rescuing an amnesiac man her children name Frank creates conflicting emotions.

As Frank begins to recover bits of his past in Ridinghouse Bay, a newlywed recent immigrant, Lily Monrose, is worried when her husband Carl fails to return from his job in London. The more Lily delves into Carl's life the more questions she has.

The novel switches between three main individuals and the years 2015 and 1993.

The story wraps up all the various characters and plots leaving the reader feeling at peace after a very intense 352 pages.

I enjoyed this much more than Girl On The Train. British terminology is used but is easily identifiable at to it's North American name.

A fast paced and suspenseful read with enigmatic characters and intermingling storylines – a favorite by this author!

Three independent storylines - interesting in their own right- merge together in a satisfying if not a bit predicatable ending. A solid read and my favourite so far by Lisa Jewell.

4.5 stars. I couldn't stop reading this ultra-atmospheric, twisty, un-putdownable thriller of a book. I was hooked from the very first page and it never let up. I loved the character-driven plot and the way that the story was told using three different threads that eventually converged. Sooo good!

A great summer read. The author takes us through two story lines that eventually meet to solve a mystery that spans over two decades.

....."What is she thinking, he wonders? Is she regretting every minute she has spent in his company? Is she recoiling at the memories of their night together? Is she already reprinting him in her mind's eye as the twister monster that he might well turn out to be?....."
Gripping novel with plot twists jumping at you from chapter to chapter. Characters are nicely developed and very much believable. This book is way better than The girl on the train! Enjoy!

This is her best book yet. I didn't find it predictable and it kept me guessing throughout. Be prepared to put everything on hold for this one!

If you liked "Girl on a Train", I think you will like this book. Two families in a small seaside town, though 20 years apart. A stranger with amnesia who inexplicably appears one day on the beach, lost in his own world yet tied to both of these families in different ways. A woman whose husband has mysteriously disappeared. Is he the man on the beach? Who is her husband and how is he tied to the seaside town? An interesting read that will keep you changing your mind about what is really going on. Written much in the style of "Girls in the Garden", Jewel is a writer I look forward to reading more.
