I gave up on it after watching the first episode. The mystery had me intrigued but it is just to CW for me.
I hesitantly watched this series at the suggestion of my 11-year old niece. I was hooked by the second episode. It delivers on all of our favorite typical story lines, a love triangle, wealthy and totally dysfunctional family in town and of course a good 'ol murder mystery. At the center of it all is Archie, Betty, Jughead and Veronica. A new twist - definitely not your parents comic book stories. It's dark and twisted and I would consider it a guilty pleasure.
This was an amazing TV adaption of the Archie Comics. The story in Season One offered a superb plot, colorful characters and the chance to see some great former TV/film teen stars
join the cast with some talented new stars. I can't wait to watch Season 2!
Fans of the Archie comics (you know who you are!) rejoice in this twisted adaptation by Netflix for adults!
I really enjoyed this mystery. Very much looking forward to Season 2!
A completely accurate and true rendering of the original Archie comics with a level of subtlety and complexity not seen since Mad Men.
I haven't been so pleasantly surprised by a new show in a long time. Riverdale is pure, angsty, teenage gold. Each character is a perfect archetype enhanced by their intensely specific style and problems-not-problems. Seriously, give this one a shot. So thoroughly enjoyable.
This show is the best kind of cheese/dark teenage drama that I could ask for!
I am a fan of the Archie comics so my hopes for the show weren't terribly high, before I realized it, I was on episode 5 and I was totally hooked.
I love that they took Archie and the gang and put a modern twist on them, Riverdale is not a place that is all sunshine and rainbows but instead a town full of secrets, secrets I can't wait to solve.
Adapted for TV by the CCO of Archie Comics, Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa - who also writes two of their horror series, Afterlife with Archie and The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, this television adaptation of the gang in Riverdale is wholesome and spooky at the same time. Growing up reading the Jughead and Betty and Veronica comics, I was pleased with what they brought to the screen for the CW. If you were a fan, or have picked up some of the new series Archie Comics have been doing in the past couple of years, this is highly recommended.
Riverdale season one is a great season! The show/season is extremely intense, and intriguing. Each episode is very entertaining and you definitely won’t get bored. In season one you the main story is based around the death of Jason Blossom. The season leads up to the finding out who killed Jason Blossom. Not only is the story line great, the chemistry between the characters is amazing! Another great thing about this show is the actors/actresses, and how well they portray their characters. Overall this show is very good, but there’s just one thing I don’t like about it. I wish that Archie and Betty’s relationship was portrayed more, and had more screen time. It’s kind of disappointing if you’re an Archie comic lover, because the show misses out on some of the key relationships.

Exciting murder mystery show based off of comics where 4 kids in the town of Riverdale are left to find out who killed Jason Blossom. The 4 main characters try to figure out who the murderer is while dealing with the struggles of high school and putting up with the queen bee Cheryl, who happens to be Jason's twin. The story is told from the perspective of Jughead Jones played by Cole Sprouse who is an aspiring writer narrating the occurrences inside Riverdale. In a small town like Riverdale, there are not too many people to suspect but everyone knows everyone and secrets have a way of getting out.
