I really like how there's some sort of prejudice in this book, but it fades away gradually as Harper makes friends. I also like how everything turns out okay in the end, and since I love to dance (mostly ballet), this book was a perfect fit for me!

Harper's family relocates due to her father's job change. That means leaving her dance studio in Connecticut and starting over with a new one. The book begins with her audition for placement in a new studio -- DanceStarz. This book sparkles with situations where Harper must learn to balance competition with compassion. We also see a positive home environment in her interactions with parents and little sister Hailey. A wonderful book for girly girls!
