I found this movie weird and I like bad horror sometimes, this is one movie that is it. Its sort of like groundhog day but with killing it in so that is ok. Also I like the element of surprise of guessing sort of like scream movie which to me was bad horror movie. Most horror movies now is awful to watch only a few movies are good but not lately but everyone's taste runs different totally. If you are really bored then this would be the movie for you no it is not good but sometimes it so bad its good.

Directed by Christopher Landon in 2017, this American serious-looking-at-first-then-goes-nonsense-&-foolish drama repeats a series of recurring murders.
If you'd like to waste your time, this is for you.
I quit halfway through simply because I didn't want to waste any more time.
Totally disappointing!

A fun ride of a Scream Queen style film. More funny than scary, but still really enjoyable.

This movie was enjoyable. It is a blending of Groundhog Day, Mean Girls & Scream Queens. It has sine crude language, nudity & scary moments. That is why I would not show it to anyone under the age of 17.

This movie was horrible. It's so predictable, and a real disappointment from Blumhouse. I'm both surprised and upset that they are making a sequel.

Update: I just saw the sequel and I was pleasantly surprised, as I liked it a lot better than the first one.

Take Groundhog Day, replace Bill Murray with Jessica Rothe's cranky self-centered ingenue, and murder her in new and ever more interesting ways...and you have Happy Death Day. While this tends toward more serious slasher than my usual fare, there are some very entertaining scenes. Like the walk across the college quad during the montage, when the protagonist decides she can do absolutely anything she wants, if her day resets at the end. The identity of the killer is somewhat predictable, but the protagonists journey is not. I was surprised how much I liked this movie.

This slasher film is about a woman who continues to wake up the same day in the same place not too sure what happened. It is not until she gets brutally murdered that she realizes what’s going on. Until she is able to identify her killer, she will be forced to relive the same day that she got murdered again and again. This movie is scary in the sense that no one likes to think about what happens when they die, especially if it means re-living some kind of terrible event. The movie wasn’t as scary as I was hoping and had some accidentally funny scenes, but I would still rate it 3.5/5 stars. @The_Reviewer of the Hamilton Public Library Teen Review Board

"Overall, I quite enjoyed Happy Death Day. I thought it was a fun, funny, thrilling movie with a great lead. Jessica Rothe was great to watch, she was energetic, charismatic and funny. I think the movie is surprisingly funny, I wasn’t really expecting to laugh the way I did. I don’t think the movie is a comedy by any means, but it does have a lot of humorous elements, like, I mean the killer wears a baby face mask, that’s funny (and creepy) and one of her deaths is with a bong hahaha..."

Cute little film. A variation on Run, Lola, Run, Sliding Doors and Groundhog Day. Regarding the reviewer below who referred to a racist song ... they must be thinking of another movie. There're no racist songs at the end of this film.
