Korean Script Hacking

the Optimal Pathway to Learn the Korean Alphabet

Great method for learning Hangul. There were only about 6 lessons, which I finished in about a month (in a total of 8 hours). I did one every 5 or 6 days. Reading practice includes mostly words that are recognizable to English speakers (smart) - which makes progress feel really substantial. Definitely recommend this process. I do think it would be slightly easier if you already can read at least one other non-roman script, as Korean Hangul are written much differently than English script, not just the shapes of the characters, but how each syllable is constructed. I don't feel like I've had to put in massive effort, but I did make sure to do every single task, and read and write every single word, plus I practiced the proper stroke order, and mimicked the sounds of the language. I feel pretty confident I can remember the characters now in literally a few hours. So now that I'm done, it's just a matter of practice. Luckily the library also has lots of kids books in Korean to help gain that reading speed.
