The Great Partition

the Making of India and Pakistan
Jun 24, 2015stewstealth rated this title 2 out of 5 stars
Though researched this book seems more like an essay then a scholastic attempt to chart out the causes and results of the violence of the Indian and Pakistan partition. Blame is laid mostly on the British with both sides of the nationalistic parties gaining some responsibility. the book does not have a readable narrative and the discussions seem jumpy. Perhaps there is a more involved look at this complex disaster. Worth reading if you are very interested.
