Any film with the magnificent Shirley MacLaine and Christopher Plummer can't be all bad, and this isn't all bad. Haunting story with an unusual juxtaposition of events from WWII in the 1940s and the Belfast Northern Ireland troubles in the 1990s. Too bad the dialogue is often cliched, the music bland, and some characters wooden. Still worth seeing for these two great actors. And some beautiful scenery.
