Woodstock

3 Days of Peace and Music
Nov 04, 2017
"Hey, Man! - Peace....Love....Be Groovy!" Woodstock was a solid, back-to-back, 3-day-long festival of song, dance, and celebration. It all happened rather suddenly in the glorious summer of 1969. Max Yasger was the generous dude who offered his opened farmland, located in Bethel, N.Y., as a perfect location for the Woodstock Set. An outdoor concert of Woodstock's magnitude required a vast piece of land to accommodate all the many events and festivities taking place. A record-breaking 500,000 people attended the Woodstock Festival. (Incredible) Woodstock's population over-flow was equivalent in size to that of a small city. And like a small city, it needed big help. The National Guard was eventually called in. And with the aid of their trusty helicopters they brought in food, supplies and medical assistance to all the hungry and needy rock'n'rollers. (You see - Even the National Guard gave peace a chance, too.) 1 death and 3 births occurred at Woodstock.... And, the rest, of course, is pop-culture history.
