Rejected titles: "Out of Time," "Time's Up!", "What Time is Up?" "Time of Your Life." As many have noted, this 2011 sci-fi film has an intriguing premise, but wastes much of its time (pun intended) as a fairly conventional adventure movie in which the 2 leads run around a lot. In the future, the most precious commodity is time. Everyone is on the clock, which is displayed on their forearm, and the rich have unlimited time, while the rest live day to day. But Justin Timberlake is gonna change all that! Seriously, who thought it was a good idea to cast him? A fire hydrant wearing a suit could've done a better job. Writer/director Andrew Nicol, who also did "Gattaca," has some good ideas, a good cast, and a cool retro-futuristic look. Amanda Seyfried is the rich girl that J.T. kidnaps, Cillian Murphy is the time cop on his trail. Olivia Wilde is his mom, and Vincent Kartheiser is a rich dude. Worth seeing, despite its flaws. They clearly set up a potential sequel, which I would've called "In Time 2: Time Thieves."
