The action scenes in the first half are nothing short of spectacular, a thrilling peek into the kinds of things that might take place in a covert operation. They became much less thrilling (and much more predictable Hollywood formula) in the second half. A number of comments here have been made about "poor" acting, but hey, these are actual soldiers playing the part of soldiers, not professional actors. The film does come off as a bit of a recruitment commercial/video game - including some rather highly imagined, male-specific "code for life" stuff that young men in particular would be drawn to - but, apparently, those who sign up to be a US soldier can expect (if nothing else) a real first class cemetery send off, courtesy of their employer, if they're killed on the job.
