This book bothers me. It's about a third grade girl who goes on a diet in order to fit into a pretty dress. It is too triggering for me. My parents sent me to Weight Watchers when I was in third grade. By fifth grade I was diagnosed with anorexia nervosa. I struggled with eating disorders and body dysmorphic disorder all my life until I discovered the book, Health At Every Size by Dr. Linda Bacon. It changed my life, and I've never been healthier - both physically and mentally. Caregivers, if you want to read a book with young children to show them healthy eating habits, I recommend Bear Likes Jam by Ciara Gavin instead of this book.
