Omens A Cainsville Novel By Armstrong, Kelley Book - 2013

Good pace, and I liked how she didn't expect to trust him, but did eventually.

What I didn't like was how formulaic the romance seemed to be. Obviously both are good-looking, obviously both are smart and effective and driven, obviously they would get together. It seemed shallow.

Also, keep in mind this is the first book to a series. Read as a standalone, the plot seems to be all over the place, but by the end, it's clear that we were introduced to the overarching plot in which there are smaller episodes to be resolved.
