Following the events of The Avengers, rumors of H.Y.D.R.A. resurfacing start to rise, and as Captain America does what he does, they do whatever they can to kill him, including unleashing the Winter Soldier. Rogers also gets the aid of Black Widow, and newcomer Falcon. The previous Captain America standalone movie was great, and Winter Soldier follows in its steps. Unlike the two MCU movies ahead of this, this movie has many action scenes, with all of them being awesome. The plot of the movie is well set up and well executed, the characters are all good, and the visuals fit the movie well. Many of Captain America's iconic scenes come from this movie too. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys action movies, and anyone following the MCU movies. 4.7/5-@InboundMink of the Hamilton Public Library's Teen Review Board Once again, Captain America did not disappoint! His character is so likeable, the movie is full of action, and keeps the audience engaged and eager to see what will happen next. There is one major tie in from the first movie, which I absolutely loved – it was very shocking and interesting! That aside, the plot also very good, and I enjoyed seeing more of Steve Rogers. You definitely have to watch the first Captain America movie in order to fully appreciate this one, however. This story definitely builds off from the first, along with The Avengers, so it is important to see Steve’s full story. I would definitely recommend this movie! It is very much worth a place on your shelf! @PenelopeScriptor of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library Captain America: The Winter Soldier is one of the best MCU movies to date. Directors Joe and Anthony Russo outdid themselves on this adventure, action and drama-packed marvel movie with characterization and new arrivals are the prime culprits of love and adoration from fans. Sam Wilson finally enters the Marvel Cinematic Universe and is instantly captured with his wit and brains. Natasha Romanoff, aka Black Widow, gets to explore her characters more versatile side regarding humour, emotion and her strength. Bucky Barnes or mostly known as the Winter Soldier, also makes a massive appearance and gets to explore the ongoing friendship and bond between himself and Steve Rogers. The acting is superb, and much credit needs to be aimed at Sebastian Stan, as he may not have had a lot of lines but the emotion he carries through his eyes and figure alone; is easy for the audience to understand his pain and trauma. Not to mention clothes in this movie were at its peak as later on films downplay the characters sharp looks. The fighting scenes are also one of the best, especially given the fact the characters in this particular movie don't have any superpowers and its all about physical strength. I genuinely believe Marvel won't be able to recreate the same intensity as this movie ever again. @moonlightbae of the Hamilton Public Library Teen Review Board
