I went through High School and college justifying my non-conformism by saying I was a non- non- conformist --that is, I was rebelling against my peer group who were rebelling against their parents.
I was, therefore, relieved to read in this book that to be non-conformist is good. In fact the book went so far as to say that it doesn't take guts to follow the crowd; courage and intelligence lie in being ready to be different.
I'm not an entrepreneur or somebody who has made a huge difference to the world, but I'm comfortable in my skin and happy with what I have achieved. This perhaps springs from being Original.
Thank you Adam Grant.
