I feel sorry for child actors. Drew not only was forced into financially supporting her family from babyhood, but also had the curse of the Barrymore legacy in her DNA. Drew has navigated a difficult life with grace and dignity and not more than a little wry humor at the absurdity of it all. Her vignettes range from the painful to the witty and include her search for spiritual guidance to make sense of her world. Drew's poignant story of her relationship with her gardener was especially exquisite. An enlightening read of the good, bad, & downright ugly voyage of a child of Hollywood royalty.
